Another Night

This is a reflection of a band on tour in Poland. 17 dates - 17 different cities - 20 days. The monotony of touring is well known; a series of spaces connect by distance - venue, tour bus, hotel, venue, tour bus, hotel etc. The repetition becomes hypnotic. The days blend together to the point that the performances themselves begin to lack a fixed point in time, the audiences becomes a collected mass of faces. The sun was usually setting when we arrived at each venue so our lives became nocturnal, lived beneath the strip-light glare of underground dressing rooms and the red and green sodium glow of stage lighting, the universal monotony of the hotel room and the loneliness of the dimly lit back-stage corridors.
